I’m a proud member of the Zipper Club – I had a triple bypass earlier this year.
Cardiac surgery is traumatic, for sure.
It is also quite literally life changing and something to reflect upon with pride. Getting through it is not easy – you need lots of support from loved ones and the marvellous NHS and I’m very grateful for the help and support that I received.
Hence the Zipper Club badge.
